Residents of Eureka Springs heard Mayor Dani Joy lavish praises on Fire Chief Eddie Davis for the good work he had done, according to a letter she read before Council, as a team leader assisting people during Hurricane Gustav. Joy said she’d received two letters but didn’t have the other one on hand.

ES Folk went back out to Black Bass Lake after two different people suggested that the rock wash we’d photographed earlier came from a wash over the top of the spillway rather than a wash down the dam.
