Vehicle Maintenance Puts the Fire Department over Its Operations Budget

When talking to Chief Davis on the phone, we mentioned our concern about his being over budget. He agreed that he was over in one area, in Maintenance, for the Operation of Vehicles.

Two ambulances– for safety or money?

We’d heard that Chief Davis sent two ambulances to answer calls. We understood why that might be necessary in responding to a fire or an accident involving more than one person. But we didn’t understand why he needed two ambulances when only one person was involved. We asked him if that was typical.
