Please don’t forget the end of the May Festival of the Arts… the 2008 Eureka Springs Blues Weekend! A truly American art form, “The Blues” is the root for most of America’s musical genres.
Headliner performances include Trampled Under Foot, the 2008 International Blues Challenge winners, Koko Taylor & Her Blues Machine, Rory Block, a Tribute To Louis Jordan featuring Phil Berkowitz and The Sean Carney Band, Indigenous, LZ Love, Larry Garner, Deborah Coleman, and Michael Burks. Also performing is international acclaimed Blues educator Michael “Hawkeye” Herman, who presents Blues in the Schools programs that help teach kids young and old about “The Blues”!
There will also be dozens of acts plaing in Basin Spring Park for FREE, and dozens of others playing at various venues around town.
