Sources tell us that the Daily Show with Jon Stewart wants to interview the Mayor and local residents in view of the American Family Association’s homophobic film, They’re Coming to Your Town..

We understand the coverage will make the AFA look “paranoid and ridiculous;” and Eureka “a friendly diverse city that does not discriminate in any way.”

The Mayor had something in front of her at the budget meeting this morning with “The Daily Show” on it, but she didn’t mention anything before she shuffled it under other papers.

The Daily Show sounds like a sure winner from here with great publicity for our tourism industry.
