Free Speech at Council. Depends.

Mayor Squelches Whistleblower Complaint

Ald. Rae Hahn of the Eureka Springs City Council received a whistle blower letter from a woman who had previously been employed by the City’s Public Works, and then quit. Hahn gave the letter to Mayor Dani Joy before reading it at Council, which the complainant had hoped for but did not see happen.

After a Raucus Council Meeting She Couldn’t Control, Mayor Forced to Drastic Action

Eureka Springs Mayor Dani Joyce today announced she is canceling the days Council meets. Yes, that’s right– the very days themselves. “I am abolishing second and fourth Mondays,” she said, adding that “Gregorian [sic] had nothing on me.”
“These days have become cumbersome,” she said. “I prefer to work quietly behind the scenes.”

Words I Say to Myself

I look at the fussing, fuming and fighting about seating the rightfully-elected Pat Matsukis, and I think of Ghandi, who said:

“Overall,” Allen said, “the plant did better than it was rated at. When they engineered it they had [...]

Here we go again~

This time it’s the lie about Alderwoman-elect Pat Matsukis. As usual, he’s denying he said it, it’s all somebody else’s fault, he merely asked a question, he didn’t accuse her of anything, somebody else started it.
Right, just like the lie he furthered about previous Ald. Charlotte Buchanan.
That would be Alvin Byrd we’re talking about. Few [...]

Our Intrepid Explorer of the Black Bass Lake Boondogle

This activity is not recommended. There is always the possibility that the lake will run dry before the Black Bass Lake trail is brought into compliance, and you would end up stuck.
